In-person Support Group

A support group focused on autism meets twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The group convenes at our office located at 615 Thain Road Suite A in Lewiston, which is adjacent to Orchard’s Pawn and Tack. Each month, we cover various topics related to autism. Attendees receive complimentary dinner and childcare services. Parent/Guardian(s) are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the start time to provide our Childcare Specialists with essential information about your child, including their day, to prepare for any possible issues. After the meeting, parents receive a report on their child’s care during the group session.

RSVP is necessary at least two days before each meeting to ensure we have adequate staff and make the necessary arrangements for dinner and childcare. However, we understand the challenges that may arise in planning and will try our best to accommodate late RSVPs. Our primary aim is to maintain a low staff-to-child ratio to provide adequate care.

Statistics

“According to the CDC, ASD is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.”
